About the LTU Extreme-Range
The LTU-XR is a 5 GHz LTU wireless client purpose-built for the most extreme long-distance subscriber connections in East African WISP networks — delivering 900+ Mbps throughput over 30+ km links using Ubiquiti's proprietary LTU technology that surpasses the limitations of standard 802.11 Wi-Fi. The large integrated antenna measures 747 × 525 × 347 mm (29.4 × 20.7 × 13.7") and weighs 3.2 kg (7.1 lb) in an aluminium alloy and UV-stabilised polycarbonate enclosure with UV-stabilised polycarbonate mount and integrated pole mount supporting ⌀35–60 mm (⌀1.4–2.4") pole diameters. Wind loading of 1,100 N at 200 km/h (247.29 lbf at 125 mph) requires a robust pole or tower installation. IPX6 weatherproofing. Operating temperature: -40°C to 55°C (-40°F to 131°F). Fully NDAA compliant. Compatible with LTU devices only.
