The unit accepts Gigabit data and power via PoE into the RJ45 “PoE In” port. The PoE In port is compatible with IEEE802.3af, IEEE802.3at and IEEE802.3at 4 pair (60W). It can also accept 42-57VDC Passive PoE.

There are two fully compliant 802.3af/at Gigabit “PoE Out” ports. These ports are capable of up to 30W per port and 100m (330ft) distance.

The TP-SW5GD-BT Power over Ethernet (PoE) 5 Port Gigabit switch offered by Tycon® is a fully automatic high speed Layer 2 Ethernet switch with one 802.3bt PoE input and four 802.3at PoE outputs. Ports 1-4 are 802.3at 35W PoE Out. The Uplink Port 5, is 802.3bt compatible so the switch can accept up to 100W PoE on 4 pairs to power the switch and connected devices remotely over CAT5 or higher Ethernet Cable. The TP-DCDC-HP Series of DC to DC converters offered by Tycon Power® are a low cost and high reliability solution for those requiring 24VDC or 56VDC Power over Ethernet voltage from a 12V, 24V or 48V battery system. They have an integrated PoE injector. Passive PoE and 802.3at models are available.

The input and output are isolated so the units can accept minus voltage on input and can be wired for positive voltage on the output for those systems which are negative voltage based.
