The PoE ports are Mode A (pins 1,2,3,6) type and are manageable via the user interface. They can be set to PoE, PoE+ or OFF. Default is PoE+.

The switch features security protocols like SSH and SSL for secure access of the switch command interface. The interface can be accessed via the serial console port or any of the Ethernet ports. The TP-DCDC-HP Series of DC to DC converters offered by Tycon Power® are a low cost and high reliability solution for those requiring 24VDC or 56VDC Power over Ethernet voltage from a 12V, 24V or 48V battery system. They have an integrated PoE injector. Passive PoE and 802.3at models are available.

The input and output are isolated so the units can accept minus voltage on input and can be wired for positive voltage on the output for those systems which are negative voltage based.

If the remote device does not support power over Ethernet, splitters (POE-SPLT-S) are available to split the data and DC voltage at the remote device. If the remote device requires reverse voltage the POE-XOVER-S cable can be used.

IEEE802.3af/at Compliant 48VDC 10/100/1000MB PoE Switch. Switch accepts 12-36VDC power via a wire terminal connector on the back of the Switch or via 48VDC PoE into the 802.3af/at compliant uplink port (90W max). Perfect for remote solar/battery systems. 35W per port. 70W Max Total.

On the universal voltage models (“-NC”) the PoE output voltage = the input voltage so it is universal in its application. The Ethernet spec supports distances up to 100m (328 feet) between the PoE switch and the remote device.

They have an integrated 10/100Mb PoE+ injector to apply the regulated 56VDC to the CAT5 Ethernet cable. The input voltage must be between 36VDC and 72VDC.
