Meet Our Team
Ken lives in Uganda and has been in East Africa since 2012. Ken worked at Intel Corporation in various roles including technical, marketing, and research, including working for Intel Capital, the investment arm of Intel. Ken was at Microsoft’s Redmond headquarters in business development and operations roles. Ken also worked at 3Com Corporation as a Network Engineer. In 2012, Ken was the in-country Program Manager and Network Engineer for Inveneo in the Tanzania 21st Century Education Project (USAID funded). Prior to coming to East Africa Ken helped rebuild Haiti’s Internet backbone and installed low power computer solutions in rural Haiti schools. In these projects Ken worked extensively with Ubiquiti and Mikrotik equipment. In 2003, Ken started the Kilimanjaro Porter Assistance Project to help the porters that work on Mt Kilimanjaro. Ken has also been on the board of several NGO’s. Besides Simplifi Networks, Ken has been working on new computer designs that use low-power computer and network systems that run on solar power.
Graham’s career to date has led to many successful roles, giving him a diverse and significant skill set. Following a successful term in Sales and Marketing management in Europe, Graham spent time with a USA based manufacturer before establishing his own business. A consultancy based on delivering strategic results for SME’s in need of guidance, this business soon led him to East Africa, and where in 2005 he became involved in a number of business’s associated with the tourism industry. After four successful years Graham moved to Johannesburg, South Africa to join an International financial consultancy as a consultant, later being asked to take control of their office in Kampala Uganda. Graham returned to Kenya in 2012 to establish a new business in the region for another independent financial advisory based in Geneva, Switzerland. Graham has board level experience in the UK, USA and Africa, His abilities coupled with his experiences in Africa place him in a unique position to drive forward a new business proposition in this region.
Mildred Okwir is the Technical Project Manager for Simplifi Networks. With over six years’ experience, she has worked on a number of projects with organizations such as ALIN, UNHCR, UCC, and Oxfam. Mildred has helped in the design and installation of several complex designs and can help with your design and installations needs. Mildred is a graduate of Gulu University, where she received a BS in Information and communication Technology.
Mordoch has been involved in sales and marketing since graduation from the University of Nairobi in 2006, having worked with a number of large multinational companies Mordoch has a wealth of experience which he now brings to the Networking industry. Mordoch is a Cisco qualified technician and has past experience with both Ubiquiti and Mikrotik products so is ideally based to support our network of resellers throughout Kenya and the East African region. A highly motivated team member Mordoch looks forward to finding new challenges and opening new markets, with the goal of helping to make Simplifi Networks the leading provider of networking technology in the region.
Esther Asinde is the Finance and Operations manager in Uganda. She has over six years working in operations and finance management in Uganda and UK. She graduated from Makerere University with a BS Degree in Business Computing and Higher Diploma in Fashion and Design from UK. Additionally, Esther also has an eye for fashion.
Muzamil (Mustafa) Mohammad manages the Simplifi Networks inventory, stock and warehouse in Uganda. Mustafa comes to us after three years at CLS Limited and three years at Europcar.
Julie has over twenty years of experience in senior financial management roles firstly in the UK Banking Sector and more recently in Offshore Financial Services. Proactive management of Simplifi Networks expanding business is Julies primary role, however as she also has vast experience in HR this also falls within her remit. Julie has gained board level experience in both the UK and Africa where her roles in RSA, Uganda and Kenya have place her in an ideal position to drive the company forward to a secure financial future.
